Year 6 

Welcome to the class page for Year 6. Our teacher is Mr Spens, but Mrs Backholer, Mrs Vye, Mrs Singleton, Mrs Shearing, Mrs Thomas and Mrs Luker all work with us as well during the week!

We have been working very hard on our Bristol topic since September and have learnt a great deal. We've also been to Bristol twice on two trips, visiting the M-Shed, sailing on the Matthew, and conducting a shopping survey in Cabot Circus.

We organised the children in need Fair, raising over £250 in total. Now, we're preparing for Christmas and we'll start our new topic on World War 2 after Christmas.

Learning Overview:

This year, the topics that we will be studying are:

Terms 1 and Terms 2: Bristol (History and Geography focus)

Terms 3 and Terms 4: World War 2 (History based)

Term 5: What's in the News (Geograpy based)

Term 6: Light's, Camera, Action (putting on a performance)

Class Information:

PE - will be on Tuesdays and Fridays

Homework - Literacy (Fridays), Numeracy (Tuesdays), Science (Thursdays)
