St John's Primary School

St John's CEVC Primary School - Keynsham

Year 2

Year Two have been really busy doing lots of interesting and fun things. We have started the year learning all about our topic that is all about how to keep healthy. Through this topic we have explored lots of other areas such as the life of Florence Nightingale as well as listening to a talk from the school nurse about staying safe around the home.

We have also been really busy within our craft lessons, making 3-D people, making skeletons and exploring artwork about autumn.

We have been fortunate this term to receive a series of gymnastics sessions that the children have really enjoyed. Throughout these sessions they have had the opportunity to use the apparatus to support their balancing and travelling skills.

To support their reading progress it would be really good if they could read a wide range of materials to support their topic work. One way to support their progression in reading is to visit the Library as well as using websites such as this.

Congratulations to our newly appointed councillors, Guy and Jasmine who are looking forward to taking on this role.
