And we still have lots more activities to look forward to.

Bath Abbey

Mr Shean Bowers from Bath Abbey has been visiting the class every week to help us with our singing.  This culminated in Year 3 singing at Bath Abbey with other schools from Bath and the surrounding areas.  We had a thoroughly enjoyable time and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents who supported us at the Abbey, both myself and the school were very proud of the performance from all of the children.

Class information

PE

PE is on a Tuesday morning so the children will need to ensure that their PE kit is in school for that day.

Reading

Children will be taking part in one guided reading session a week in which children are given the opportunity to read and respond to different texts, with a focus on particular elements we are working with during whole class sessions. Please continue to hear your child read at home as this really helps with their comprehension skills.

Homework

The children are given homework once a week as well as weekly spellings and focussed handwriting sheets. Homework will be given on a Friday and is due in a week later on the following Friday.   Homework will usually include Numeracy and Literacy and on some occasions the work will be linked to other areas of the curriculum.  If you have any queries or questions about any of the homework that is given to your child please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
