Year 4

 Welcome to Year 4 with Mr Robertson and Mrs Percival.

Summer term is going very well and the children are enjoying their new 'Rooftops' topic.  We are learning about the Vikings, and why they invaded and settled in Britain.  The children are designing longboats for the classroom!

They will also be studying habitats after half term with Mrs Percival, and going on an Art trip, and to a Nature reserve.

Year 4 Viking Homework Project

Over the next six weeks the Year 4 pupils will be researching, designing and making their own Viking longhouse.  This project is an opportunity for parents, carers and other relatives to get involved with our Viking topic.

The longhouse can be made from whatever materials you like.  In the past children have used cardboard, wood, and even turf and cake!  We hope that your imaginations will run free and you have a lot of fun making it.

Please look at the attched sheet that gives the timescales for making the longhouse.  You can make the longhouse whenever you like, as long as the research and planning have been completed first.
