Year 4

Welcome to the class page for Year 4.

 

Our teachers are Mrs Hillier (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday morning and some Wednesday afternoons) and Mrs Percival (some Wednesday afternoons, Thursday & Friday).

 

Mrs Turner, Mrs Quilter, Mrs Thomas & Mrs Rice also work with us during the week.

 

We have been working very hard this term on our topic ‘Us and Them.’ With Mrs Hillier we have been finding out lots of things about the Ancient Greeks. Mrs Percival has been teaching us lots about Moving and Growing and Friction.

 

We have enjoyed having a visit from Clio, a Greek potter’s wife. Some of us dressed up in Greek clothes, we all handled different pots and made our own clay discs with Greek designs on.  We also had a visit from a local artist, Mrs Bennington, who worked with us to do some watercolour paintings and some printing of animals linked to Greek myths.

Mrs Hillier & Mrs Percival will give homework linked to work being done in class. We all have a homework diary to write our homework details in. We also have a Reading Journal liked to our current reading book and should read to an adult for 15mins twice a week.
