CURRENT NEWS

A new term and a great start in year 5!

Everyone has settled quickly and we have two new pupils – welcome to Annie and Ben.

Sadly Mrs Singleton has been ill but Mrs Simmonds has been able to teach us all week. We are all getting into a new routine and enjoying new responsibilities.

Mrs Luker works with us on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings helping us with extra support in spelling, literacy and maths.

Mrs Simmonds has been really pleased that we are learning to listen well and keep our homework and reading records up to date.

We have already been on our first school trip in year 5 and visited Cardiff Castle in beautiful sunshine. We had a fascinating tour of the castle apartments and had an audience with Queen Victoria!

It was a great day enjoyed by all and our teacher was so pleased with us that she has promised that we will go out again.

Year 5 have also been to Wellsway to take part in the Sportshall athletics training – very enjoyable, again in glorious sunshine. Everyone improved their own performance and achieved a certificate- well done Year 5
