Vegetable Garden

Our School Garden

Some of the more eagle-eyed of you may have spotted some changes happening near the Reception outside space.  As part of our work towards Eco-School's status, Ed the caretaker has built us some raised beds.  These have been filled with compost made from kitchen and garden waste in Keynsham itself!

We have set up a school gardening club run by Mr Robertson and Mrs Lucas.  There have been so many volunteers that we have had to create two groups!

We have planted tomatoes, peas, pumpkins, salads, Brussels sprouts, radishes and celeriac.  The gardening group have sowed the seeds, and as you can see from the photos they have really grown!

We are all looking forward to eating them when they are ripe, and hopefully, supplying the school kitchen!
